Lyrically, the album touches on band members' personal stories, which Q Magazine calls "goosebump inducing" and "worth holding your breath for." Kings of Leon formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000. The band is composed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill with their cousin Matthew Followill.
